Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science

North Chicago, IL

The Challenge

This four-college medical sciences institution educates more than 1,600 physician and health professional students each year. In 2002, the University opened its 138,000-square-foot Health Sciences Building. This expansion called for a more efficient cleaning and maintenance system, and additional services such as, metal and security maintenance.

The Solution

OneSource implemented a strategy to assist the University in achieving its goals of improving customer service and relations, and on-site management in a cost-effective manner by providing excellent, knowledgeable service at competitive rates.

The Benefit

OneSource provided a stronger building management team to oversee the implementation of a flexible, more efficient, staffing structure. This change reduced expenses and increased quality service levels. The University currently maintains 638,000 square feet, a 28 percent space increase from the original 500,000 square feet, and only incurred a two percent rise in maintenance expenses.
